"What about an on-demand app for tradespeople?"

- Lindsey

Inspiration can arrive at unexpected times. For Paddle co-founder Ben and his wife Lindsey, the idea for a new business occurred over a cup of tea. Ben, the owner of a plumbing and heating firm, had been discussing the hardships tradespeople experience trying to market their business, generate leads, communicate with customers, and ultimately secure jobs. When Lindsey suggested the idea of an on-demand app for tradespeople, the core principle behind Paddle emerged.

Ben and Lindsey shared the idea with a friend in IT, Mark. From these humble origins, further sparks of inspiration began to fly. Over a few drinks, Ben and Mark decided the idea was worth pursuing, and Paddle was born. Two months later they raised investment, and four months after that the Paddle app was launched.

The fastest growing network of tradespeople and homeowners

Paddle’s mission is simple: to provide a centralised platform where homeowners can find, contact and hire verified local tradespeople. Customers can easily share and discuss job specs via in-app instant messaging, voice call or video call, drastically simplifying the often painstaking task of organising home improvements and repairs. Paddle accelerates the process of hiring tradespeople, so homeowners can find the right person for the job quicker than ever before.

By joining Paddle, tradespeople become instantly more visible to local homeowners, giving new customers the opportunity to communicate with them directly through the Paddle app to find out more about the service on offer. Paddle removes the middleman, ensuring tradespeople are able to generate new customers quickly, easily and cost effectively.

Paddle is the first and only app of its kind, providing trustworthy local trades on-demand. Anyone can join Paddle, so jump on-board and start paddling today.
