Which trades can benefit from this service?
The emergency service is currently available to electricians, plumbers, locksmiths, pest controllers, gas engineers, boiler engineers, roofers, air conditioning engineers and appliance engineers.
What does it cost to access this service?
The emergency service is available on Paddle Trades for free, but you are limited to one emergency per month. Upgrade to Paddle Pro to accept unlimited emergency jobs.
Do I only earn £70?
You will earn £70 for the first hour. Any time spent at the job after the first hour will be at yours and the customers discretion.
Are all emergency jobs local?
All emergencies will be within 2km-5km (5mins-20mins drive) of your current location.
How do i get paid?
You will get paid via bank transfer within 14 days. You will need to provide your bank details to get paid. You can add your details securely in-app.
When do i get paid?
You will get paid within 14 working days of the job being completed.
What if it takes longer than an hour to fix?
We recognise that some emergencies might take longer than an hour to make safe or identify the issue. Any time spent after the first hour is up to yourself and the customer to discuss.
What happens if i need materials?
The first hour is a labour cost for fault finding, stopping the emergency, making it safe or fixing it. If you need to go and buy materials then any time taken is part of the first hour.
Does the customer track me on a map?
No. The customer will see a graphic on their App with a distance and time counting down to your arrival. You will not been seen on any map by the customer.
What does the hour include?

What happens if the customer is not happy?
If the customer is not satisfied and refuses to end a job, the job will move to a dispute process. We will support both parties until a resoluton is reached.
